Inside the New Omni Fort Lauderdale Hotel: A Luxury Stay Worth Recommending

A Grand New Addition to Fort Lauderdale

The Omni Fort Lauderdale Hotel officially opened on December 18, 2025, marked by a ribbon-cutting and the welcoming of its very first guests. Ideally located next to the Fort Lauderdale Convention Center and the Cruise ports, this stunning new property immediately caught our attention. Wayne and I had the pleasure of staying here January 21–25, 2026, as I was in town to attend my Fora Travel Florida Chapter workshop—and from the very first moment, this hotel exceeded every expectation.

First Impressions: A Modern Coastal Icon

From the moment our Uber pulled up, we were absolutely blown away. The Omni Fort Lauderdale looks like a modern coastal icon—sleek, glassy, and sophisticated, effortlessly blending luxury resort vibes with an urban convention-hotel aesthetic. We could hardly wait to step inside. Once indoors, the hotel felt bright, spacious, and beautifully designed, with everything still carrying that unmistakable “new hotel” scent. Check-in was seamless, thanks to a friendly, genuinely welcoming front-desk attendant—and, to our delight, we were surprised with a complimentary room upgrade.

Thoughtful Service That Truly Stands Out

Before we even arrived in Fort Lauderdale, we received a thoughtful email from the Omni Hotel Sales Manager, personally welcoming us from Panama City, Panama, and asking if we had any special requests. That level of attention immediately set the tone for our stay.

When we walked into our room, we were completely in awe—and every single request had been honored, from a hypoallergenic room to extra pillows. To top it off, the sales manager had thoughtfully left us treats and drinks, which made us feel incredibly welcomed and valued. From management to restaurant staff, check-in attendants, and bellhops, every interaction was exceptional. Honestly, we could have stayed in our room forever.

A Special Stay During a Special Week

Of course, I attended my travel workshop, and during that time, I received several beautiful gifts and a beach towel courtesy of our chapter lead. As part of the experience, all the travel advisors—including myself—were also treated to a complimentary hotel tour led by the sales managers, giving us an inside look at the property and its impressive offerings.

Dining & Nightlife Without Leaving the Property

The Omni Fort Lauderdale Hotel delivers a thoughtfully curated dining and nightlife experience that feels both modern and distinctly coastal—all without leaving the property. Guests can enjoy Reef 76 Kitchen & Bar, the signature restaurant serving Caribbean- and coastal-inspired dishes throughout the day. Fair Ketch offers a lively social atmosphere with elevated bar fare and entertainment, while Leeward Market is perfect for coffee and grab-and-go bites.

Poolside on the 10th floor, Tide Coastal Kitchen pairs relaxed coastal cuisine with sweeping Intracoastal views—ideal for sunny afternoons and laid-back evenings. The social energy continues at Hidden Key, a stylish lobby bar known for handcrafted cocktails, and is crowned by the adults-only Ibis Sky Lounge, where rooftop views, craft cocktails, and a sophisticated vibe come together beautifully. Collectively, these venues make the Omni Fort Lauderdale a true destination for dining, drinks, and relaxation.

When “Even Better” Is Actually Possible

During our stay, we did encounter a minor issue—but it was resolved so quickly and completely that we almost forgot it ever happened. The resolution included another room upgrade, and just when we thought the rooms couldn’t possibly get any better, we were happily proven wrong.

Our new suite offered a panoramic water view, with yachts and cruise ships gliding in and out every morning and evening. The sky and water were a stunning shade of blue, creating a truly serene backdrop. The room featured the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in, a separate living room, a desk, a chaise lounge, a couch, a bar area, spacious closets, plush bathrobes, and a bathroom that was simply breathtaking. The bathroom itself offered water views from the bathtub, shower, and sink—pure luxury.

Final Thoughts & Our Highest Recommendation

I truly cannot say enough about this hotel. On a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the highest, I give the Omni Fort Lauderdale a 10+. We were genuinely sad to leave on Sunday, January 25, 2026. By the time we checked out, we knew many of the managers and staff by name, which says everything about the warmth and connection this property creates. And don’t worry—this was definitely not our last stay. In fact, I’ve already booked another visit later this year.
