Please allow us to introduce ourselves. We are Wayne and Tamara Driver, The International Driver’s. Once, former federal government workers employed in the heart of the nation’s capital, Washington, DC. We lived in Fredericksburg, Virginia, and commuted most days by way of the Virginia Railway Express (the VRE). As an optimistic, free-spirited, and mission-driven couple, we realized in 2022 that we wanted more out of life than our daily routines could provide.

  • Yes, we had a beautiful house built in 2015

  • Yes, we were earning a decent income from our job positions

  • Yes, we drove at least one luxury car

  • Yes, we would go on amazing vacations

BUT we were seeking more. For one, our parents never had the opportunity to retire together and enjoy the fruits of their labor. Instead, one parent would pass before the other one had retired. We knew in our hearts we did not want this for ourselves, and for us, this was not an option; it was time we followed the road that led to other possibilities. We often tend to be a married couple that operates within our level of “Are you out of your mind? Or are you simply crazy?” and we would submit to you that:

  • Yes, the answer is Yes to all of the above.

We never imagined having another residency outside of the United States. Yet, we sold or donated EVERYTHING (clothes, shoes, lamps, etc., you name it) and established a residency in Panama City, Panama. We have met new friends, learned about cultural customs, and immersed ourselves in the heart of Panama. As much as we love the United States and Panama, we are now seeking to travel at life’s pace. Yes, traveling at life’s pace.

We’ve been watching some of our favorite YouTubers, and one of them mentioned the life of a slow traveler. Without fail, we heard the call and knew this had to be for us, more like Why not us? We love to travel, are motivated to try, and have faith the size of a mustard seed. That said, we will begin our traveling at life’s pace soon. As uncertain as it may seem:

  • For us, it will be more regretful not to see this through.

  • For us, there are so many uncertainties, but one fact we know, and one question remains: “Everyone will die, but do you know what it means to live?”

Join us as we explore the world.
