Venezuela Forever in My Heart❤️

Some journeys leave memories, while others leave a lasting imprint on your heart. In the final chapter of my humanitarian journey in Venezuela, what began as an opportunity to serve with Water Mission became something far more personal. As I say farewell, I carry Venezuela in my heart, with gratitude, love, and hope that our paths will cross again.

Part Three: The Memories I'll Carry

As I close this final chapter of my humanitarian journey in Venezuela, I reflect on how much this experience has meant to me. I arrived with an understanding of the work I had been called to do, but I left with something I hadn't anticipated: a heart filled with love for the people of Venezuela and the friendships formed along the way.

The Memories I'll Carry

I will always remember the early mornings, the challenging days, the meaningful devotions, the laughter around the table, and the faces of those we were privileged to serve. Most of all, I will remember that serving others is not always comfortable, convenient, or easy. But it is meaningful. God has used ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary things.

To my Water Mission family from every nation represented in Venezuela: thank you for your service, your fellowship, and the memories we created together.

And to the wonderful Venezuelans who welcomed me into their lives, thank you for the kindness, love, and friendships I will always treasure.

Our Journey Continues 🌎❤️

As Wayne and I continue our slow-travel journey around the world, experiences like Venezuela remind me why we chose this lifestyle. It's not simply about collecting passport stamps, visiting beautiful destinations, or checking places off a bucket list.

It's about slowing down long enough to experience different cultures, build meaningful relationships, learn from others, and embrace opportunities to serve wherever God leads us.

We believe this season of our lives is about more than seeing the world. It's about being present in it, sharing our gifts, and hopefully leaving a little love and kindness wherever our travels take us.

Venezuela reminded me that sometimes the most meaningful part of a journey isn't the destination itself, but the people who become part of your story.

And who knows? Perhaps one day Wayne and I will return to Venezuela together, not for a humanitarian assignment, but to reconnect with the wonderful people who have become so dear to my heart.

Because for us, travel isn't just about the places we go. It's about the lives we touch, the people who touch ours, and the purpose we discover along the way.

Until we meet again, to everyone who became part of my Venezuela journey, I leave you with The Blessing by Elevation Worship, a song that expresses my heartfelt prayers for each of you.

With gratitude, love, and blessings,

Tamara 🙏🏾❤️
